Meet the TeamNancyRegistered Dental Hygienist Nancy has been treating our patients and before that she treated Dr Klassman's father's patients for 34+ years! Nancy uses her extensive experience to educate patients to improve her patients' lives. She has been a rock in our practice and she loves to connect with patients, as she provides outstanding treatment. Patients always mention that Nancy is so proficient that they forget that they are at the dentist office and rather feel like they are visiting a longtime friend. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, doing puzzles, reading (she is in three book clubs!) and spending time with her adorable grandchildren. StacyRegistered Dental Hygienist Stacy was born, raised and raised her family in Delaware. Stacy joined our practice in 2020 and brings with her 39 years of experience and knowledge. She takes great pride in teaching her patients how to best care for their mouth and being part of the process of restoring patients to good oral health. Patients often comment on how well she explains the best periodontal home care practices. When Stacy is not at work she is exercising, cooking and having fun with her precious grandson, Knox. KathySurgical Assistant Kathy has been with Delaware Periodontics since 2018. She became a Certified Dental Assistant in 1990. Kathy has 35 years of experience and has worked in General, Cosmetic and Endodontic Dentistry and brings with her a wealth of experience and skills. She has established herself as the "Go To" person and loves all of her teammates. She loves the feeling of completing projects and takes great pride in helping patients improve their quality of life. She enjoys assisting with implant and periodontal surgeries and helping patients understand the various stages. When she is not finding solutions at our office, she is happily antiquing, crafting and cooking. SonyaSurgical Assistant Sonya has over 26 years of periodontal, general and oral Surgery experience. She was with us for a few years and moved away. When she had an opportunity to return to the Wilmington area, she rejoined our team in 2020. She has a knack for making patients feel comfortable prior to and during surgery and really loves helping to give them a beautiful smile. Sonya has a great sense of humor and has a way of making coming to the periodontist office fun. When she's not here making patients and staff laugh, she's playing with her dogs Asia and Samson. BrianaSurgical Assistant Briana joined our practice in 2021. In just a short time she has proven to be a truly caring, dedicated, talented and hardworking team member. Patients often comment on her warm and calming chairside manner. Bri loves to see our patients receive the smile that they deserve. When she is not at the office taking amazing care of our patients, she's walking her dogs and catching up on her favorite shows such as Ozark, Stranger Things and Big Bang Theory. ShannonSurgical Assistant Shannon- Shannon recently joined our practice with over 30 years of experience. Along with all of the dental experience, she brings an amazing sense of humor, kindness and willingness to learn new things. She is proud to be part of a team where everyone strives to make the patients feel comfortable. When Shannon's not working, she enjoys baking and spending time with her husband, children and pets. CynthiaPatient Coordinator Cynthia has double Masters degrees in Health Care Finance and Health Care Management. She has worked in hospital finance, IT and retail. She came to us in 2021 with 6 years of experience in the general dentistry field. She thrives on helping patients access treatment by helping them to be strategic while maximizing their benefits and payment options that make sense for them. Cynthia shares with patients that she that she is a periodontal patient herself and advocates for our patients to move forward with treatment by helping to alleviate their dental fears. She says it's exciting to work with such an outstanding clinical team that shares the goal of taking excellent care our patients. When she's not looking for winning solutions for our patients, she is a "Momager" and number 1 fan to 3 high schoolers, as well a high school math tutor. LizScheduling Coordinator Though Liz just joined our practice in the Spring of 2022 after two years at a pediatric dental office, she has already made an impact on the team with her caring nature and willingness to learn and to help wherever needed. Liz is one of the first people you will meet when you enter our office and she will make sure that you feel welcome. When she is not helping patients at the office Liz is spending time with her two dogs and fiancé. She is looking forward to someday traveling to more places around the world. KatherineFinancial Coordinator Katherine came to Delaware Periodontics with 20 years of dental experience including a background in both dental assisting and dental front desk administration. It is important to her to ensure that patients receive the education and information that they need to make informed decisions about their treatment. She takes pride in providing information about the resources that patients have that will enable them to access care. In Katherine's free time, you can find her working at the Delaware Human Society, walking her dog, gardening and having fun with her grandchildren. JenayaIntern Dental Assistant/Sterilization Technician Jenaya is a senior in the Dental Assisting program at Howard High School of Technology. Every day she comes in with a big smile and loves to ensure that patients leave with a quality and positive experience. Jenaya is an enthusiastic learner and is gaining more experience each day. She plans to go to Dental School and become and oral surgeon and work with children one day. When she's not working and studying, she is enjoying travel adventures with her family and friends. |
